The GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc is an aluminium hardtail mountain bike that retails at around £700. The frame is GT's iconic triple triangle design. The GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc uses a RockShox Tora 302 100m travel suspension fork .
The groupset on the Avanache 1.0 is a mix of Alivio with a top XT rear mech. The wheels are GT's own All Terra hubs with Alex rims using quite bluky Maxxis Mobster tyres with a 2.10 profile and while they grip well in muddy conditions they are slow.

An old design of frame but is well proven. Good spec of components and forks.

Slow and heavy tyres, means the whole bike is heavy and feels slow.
